Funny story. Every month when I get charged for my pet insurance I get an lovely email from the company telling me about a few things about keeping my pet healthy and happy.
I think this is one of the best ways a company can remind their customers that a payment has gone through; Not just a we processed your payment but we processed your payment and we care that you really have a great experience with out service.
I got an email from Delta the other day that caught my attention when I was sorting through my lovely daily deals. Take a look at the subject line and you’ll see why I think Delta nailed it with this one. I’m not sure how they knew I had an iOS device, but this one email stuck out among every other email in my inbox.
Kudos to Delta for taking advantage of something so simple that to this day, I haven’t even seen anyone else do.

I went for a run today using the Nike+ GPS app, and was pleasantly surprised to hear the sound of cheering as I was running. Turns out, when people like the status that gets generated by the app, the sound plays. Interestingly enough, it was probably the best type of motivation I could ask for.
It’s interesting to think how what was once something that was once reserved to be alone is now social, and done in a manner that’s not only not intrusive, but enhances the experience altogether.
The other week I just happen to have seen a Redbox dispenser in a Boston subway station. Just because something goes against the norm, doesn’t mean it doesn’t make perfect sense.
